Perry county's forests and woodlands are recognized as exceptional hunting areas, especially for whitetail deer, turkey and squirrel. The steams, rivers and Lake Holman at Little Buffalo State Park provide excellent fishing sites for trout, bass and muskie.

Hunters, fisherman and other visitors can stop at the mountain overlooks-scenic wonders of Perry County-or explore the many historical sites in the county.

Little Buffalo State Park is a place where people have met for centuries. Besides having extensive picnic areas, hiking trails and a lake for fishing and boating, the park is steeped in history. Historical features include a covered bridge, a restored, operating grist mill, an old farm house built on the site of a colonial tavern, and a narrow guage railroad trace which feature one of the original railroad cars.

The Rockville Bridge, at the time of its completion in 1902, was, and remains, the longest stone masonry arch railroad viaduct in the world. Constructed between April 1900 and April 1902 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, it has forty-eight 70-foot spans, for a total length of 3,820 feet. The bridge crosses the Susquehanna River about 5 miles north of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The eastern end is in Rockville and the western end is just south of Marysville.
