The Sullivan Review, Sullivan County's weekly newspaper, founded in 1878, is located in an historic area of downtown Dushore. The newspaper office is located in the former home of the Dushore Fire Company, a building constructed for that purpose at the turn of the century. Across Water Street, the newspaper's Print Shop is located in the former Cole's Hardware building.
The newspaper is printed every Thursday, except for the week between Christmas and New Years Day, has a circulation of about 7,000 and is mailed all over the country. Selling for 75 cents a copy it may also be purchased by subscription at the following rates: in Sullivan County - $29.00/year, elsewhere in Pennsylvania - $37.00/year, out-of-state - $42.00/year.
The Sullivan Review office has an extensive collection of maps for sale and is particularly popular with hunters and other visitors who purchase 7 1/2 minute USGS quadrangle maps, and 15 minute county maps. Also available are local history books on lumbering, logging and canals. Mail orders available.
