The Mercer County Golf Trail was founded in 2004 shortly after Golf Digest listed the area in the "Top 10 Golf Towns in the USA" (made the "Top 4 Golf Towns in 2006). With such a great area for golf the MCGT was formed with neighboring county courses and local hotels. The Golf Courses, Hotels, Inns, Mansions and Lodges work together promoting affordable "Stay & Play" Golf Packages. The area has World Class Shopping and Unique Restaurants which make it more than just a great golf destination. Besides Pennsylvania many golf groups come from OH, WV, NY and Canada to "PLAY, STAY, SHOP & EAT" on the Mercer County Golf Trail.
